Hello Everyone, I purchased a couple strips of herring bone purfling to use in the future, and I had a question. It appears from looking at the Martin site, that you inlay the purfling on the top, so that the direction of the herring bone meets at each end, head and tail. It is not layed down so that it runs in a continuous direction. Is that correct? correct, you want to make a nice clean joint at the butt, try to cut the herring bone to book match at the butt joint, then running away from each other around to the neck. |
